Random Pictures

This is a fun little library!  I interviewed here two weeks ago.  Alas, I did not get the job, but this was a really cute little building!  A part of the building (not this part) is over 100 years old, and was the first school building in the county.  If you look down the street to the right, that brick wall belongs to the middle school.

The courtyard inside the cute little library.  Do you see the brick wall on the far side, under the awning?  That is part of the original, historic building.  Can't you just imagine how cute this courtyard would be with a light dusting of snow?

Gorgeous flowers in a pollinator bed.  Notice the single bloom flowers - the pansies and marigolds? The landscapers covered the flowers with a netting to keep the bunnies from eating the flowers that were planted specifically for the bees.

Middle son and I found this on a walk last weekend.  It's a gorgeous rock!  You can see the sedimentary layers on both the top and side.  Quick, where's a class of kids to show them a sedimentary rock?

Painted the kitchen wall this week.  It was a hideous shade of yellow - which was still an improvement over the previous shade of Pepto Bismol Pink.  You can't tell because the overhead lighting is so bad, but that wall is white, ultra pure white, according to the label from Home Depot.

Did you see the bush just outside of the kitchen window?  This pair of beautiful birds is nesting in that bush.  I was hoping for a better picture of them.  I'm not certain what kind of birds they are - they're bigger than house wrens - about the size of a Blue Jay - but they're a beautiful shade of brown.

Princess Luna is NOT amused.  (That's a pedometer she's sitting on, if you were wondering.)
